Training and Performance
As former collegiate athletes, Drs. Shoemaker and Miller understand the unique demands of being an athlete. This is a unique perspective InMotion brings to helping their patients recover from injury and improve performance, as well.
MAXIMIZING PERFORMANCE
Weight room technique should match the positional demands of one’s individual sport. Many injuries are related to an athlete training in a poor position. This poor positioning can decrease athletic performance.
At InMotion, we teach and help our patients understand proper position in the weight room. Once an athlete has this understanding, it can lead to a stronger, more powerful, resilient athlete.
TRAIN FOR A LIFETIME
Pain should not hold us back from lifting, it should help us maintain longevity and independence. At InMotion, we teach our patients how to move in a way that respects normal human development and movement–allowing our patients to train both hard and smart at any age and with any diagnosis (from arthritis, stenosis, disc herniations, meniscus tears to rotator cuff tears, etc.) We can help with exercise selection for most conditions, so patients can lift safely and effectively.
